When designing Vdora's smart clothing, I carefully select high quality eco-friendly fabrics that meet the brand's sustainability & ethical standards. 

Vdora's principal fabrics are anti-microbial, temperature regulating, odor resistant and gentle on both the skin and the environment.

Vdora presents versatile clothing that meet your needs by using these smart fabrics: 100% Ethically Sourced Merino Wool, 100% Recycled PET treated with ChitoSante and organic plant-based fabrics namely Tencel & Bamboo.

 

The Versa Line utilizes ethically sourced 100% Merino wool. It is reactive, natural, renewable and biodegradable.

Lightweight, Soft & Resilient 
Unlike other wool products, Vdora's fine Merino wool is non-itchy! This is due to the ultra-fine fibres that make up Merino. It also has a natural elasticity and resilience that enable our versatile apparel to fit well and move with you.

Moisture Wicking & Temperature Resistant
Merino wool is excellent for keeping your body cool when it's warm, and warm when it's cool - ideal for all 4 seasons!

Keep you cool.
Merino moves moisture - even as vapor, before it turns to sweat - from your skin, keeping you cooler when your body temperature rises. This makes for a breathable fabric that is ideal for hot climates and exercising!

Stay comfortably warm
Merino wool's natural crimp makes for a natural insulation in the cooler months by trapping "dead air" creating a buffer to the cold.

Merino apparel is amazing at keeping you from feeling cold & damp. Merino wool fibres excel in moving moisture away from the skin. So much so that even if the fabric gets wet, the surface area of your skin can remain dry. According to a few researches, Merino fabrics can absorb up to 30% of their dry weight before feeling wet. Most synthetic fabrics typically feel wet after they absorb less than 7%.

Merino wool has natural anti-bacterial properties.On top of that, because of its awesome moisture-wicking properties, odor causing bacteria can't thrive!

UV Protection
This fine organic Merino wool is naturally UV resistant (up to UPF 50) so you can worry less and enjoy the sun more!

Flame Resistant & Fire Retardant

Thanks to its naturally high levels of water and nitrogen content, merino wool requires higher levels of oxygen in the surrounding environment in order to burn.

While it may be ignited if subjected to a powerful heat source, merino wool does not normally support flame, unlike cotton, modal or bamboo. If it does smoulder, merino wool combusts (to ashes) and will not melt onto skin, unlike nylon or acrylic.

Recommended Care:
Hand wash cold or machine wash in gentle/cool setting. Hang or lay flat to dry. If you must iron, please do so in low temperature.

 

The Fluid Collection is made with 100% Recycled PET - yes, the same kind of plastic used on your water bottles! We strongly encourage recycling materials that would otherwise end up in our oceans. While a lot of people don't know how to recycle, reuse or re-purpose their plastic bottles, the conscious fashion innovators have come up with a way to turn plastic into wearable fabric. We're taking advantage of this technology. Vdora's Fluid pieces are made from GRS Gold Level certified recycled yarn.

While it's easy to want to support and wear recycled plastic, we know that it's a challenge to overcome our inhibitions to sport them in warmer temperatures when we tend to perspire. This is why we use ChitoSante treated rPET fabric.

ChitoSante is a new environmentally friendly treatment that is made from a natural biomass - crab and/or shrimp shells. It is the only anti-bacterial bio-agent in the world that is certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Chitosante is breathable, durable, quick drying, soft, anti-static and easy to handle. On top of these already astounding benefits, ChitoSante also has natural & durable anti-bacterial properties. Wash less. Save time & water!

This means that our ChitoSante treated Fluid Collection strongly inhibit the growth of bacteria, allowing them to stay fresh, hygienic & odor resistant... even with minimal wash!

 

Recommended Care :
Hand or machine wash in gentle/cool setting with similar colours. Hang to dry. If you must iron, please do so in low temperature

A botanic fibre, Tencel is produced from the pulp of forest grown trees (such as eucalyptus) using a close looped process (virtually no waste). How? The Lenzing group (developers of Tencel) recovers more than 99% of the solvent in a closed loop and repeatedly feeds it back into the production process.

The Tencel fabric itself is soft, smooth, vibrant, durable and anti-bacterial!

The breathable and sustainable ultra-soft fleece is made from Bamboo plants. Bamboo does not require fertilizers or pesticides for cultivation and it grows rapidly without depleting the soil. The fibre it creates is durable and naturally breathable & anti-bacterial - truly a great material for sweatshirts!

Wash less. Save time & water!

Recommended Care : 
Wash in gentle/warm setting with similar colours.
Tumble dry on low heat or hang to dry.
