Merino fibre has a naturally high UPF (up tp UPF50), without the addition of chemicals.

While it may be ignited if subjected to a powerful heat source, merino wool does not normally support flame, unlike cotton, modal or bamboo.

If it does smoulder, merino wool combusts (to ashes) and will not melt onto skin, unlike nylon or acrylic.

Wore the wrap to work yesterday and love it.

Easier to appreciate in work clothes than pajamas, haha. Office temperature changes a lot so used the throw as a blanket, poncho, and shawl. Looks and feels great, and is definitely going to be a favorite for a long time. I love the design which makes it so versatile.
